Our G8 V6 CAI system uses the same air box that has become so popular among the G8 V8 crowd. It effectively isolates the filter from hot engine compartment air which is extremely important for great performance. Our box effectively seals to the hood giving you all of the advantages of an air box with a lid. However, using the hood as the "lid" is even better because it allows the most room possible around the filter which results in less restriction.
